Rotational scoring on a platter from an active recovery case. This kind of surface damage is easy to overlook — you typically can only see it under green light. Magnetic dust was still present and being cleaned when these photos were taken.
Catching damage like this is why the inspection matters as much as the recovery. What you can't see can still kill your data.
