Download the support app
Tap Start Remote Support to download the Splashtop SOS app.
Open the downloaded file
Find the file in your Downloads folder and open it. No installer or admin password is required for a one-time session.
Give ProTek the 9-digit code
The app shows a 9-digit code on screen. Read it to your ProTek technician on the phone or in chat.
Leave the app open
Keep the app running while we work. You can watch the session and take back control any time.
Important security notes
Remote support should be predictable. Here is how the session works and where it stops.
You stay in control
You see everything we do, and you can move the mouse or close the app to interrupt at any moment.
A technician needs the 9-digit code
Without that code we cannot connect. The code is generated fresh each time you run the app.
Closing the app ends the session
There is no background service left running. Quit the app and the connection drops immediately.
One-time SOS sessions are not reusable
We cannot reconnect later. If you need help again, run the app again and share the new code with us.
If the download does not start
Browsers sometimes block or silently complete a download. Try these in order.
Try the button again
Click Start Remote Support to retry the download.
Check the Downloads folder
Some browsers do not show download alerts. Look for a file starting with "SOS" or "Splashtop".
Call ProTek
If the download still fails, call us and we will walk you through it.
