PS5 HDMI Port Replacement in Madison AL
PS5 turns on but no picture? It's the HDMI port. Happens all the time. Cable gets yanked, console gets bumped while it's plugged in, pins bend. We fix these in our Madison, AL shop. It's micro-soldering work under the microscope. We pull the bad port, clean up the pads, solder on a new one, test it on a display. We keep PS5 HDMI ports in stock so most of these go out in a day or two. You don't have to ship your console off and wait weeks. If you're in Huntsville or Madison and your PlayStation 5 won't show video, bring it by. We'll get you fixed up.

Micro-Soldering in Progress
This is what board-level repair actually looks like. Under the microscope, with a fine-tip iron, we rebuilt broken connections trace by trace. Micro-soldering is slow, precise work — there's no rushing it. But when a board is worth saving, this is how you save it.

Liquid Damage Under the Microscope
Liquid damage is a race against time. This board went straight under the microscope so we could map exactly where the liquid traveled and what it touched. We disconnected power immediately, cleaned every affected area, repaired the damaged traces and components, then tested the full board before reassembly. The sooner a liquid-damaged device gets to us, the better the odds.

Corrosion: The Damage After the Spill
Corrosion keeps eating at a board long after the spill has dried. By the time this one reached us, the corrosion had weakened connections and eaten through traces — causing power issues and intermittent failures. We stripped it down, removed every trace of corrosion, rebuilt the damaged connections, and tested everything before putting it back together.

Hard Drive Head Replacement in Madison AL
The head came clean off the slider arm. That's about as bad as a mechanical failure gets. The part that reads your data broke loose inside the drive. We found a matching donor, moved the head stack over in our cleanroom, and got the data back. Work like this is why we have a cleanroom in Madison, AL in the first place. Most shops in Alabama don't do head transplants. They'll tell you it's unrecoverable. We've been doing them for years. If your drive made a terrible noise and then died, and someone already told you it's hopeless, bring it to us. We serve Madison, Huntsville, and all of North Alabama. Worst case, we tell you the truth for free. Best case, you get your files back.

Dead Hard Drive Data Recovery in Madison AL
Head 0 destroyed. That's what killed this drive. When a read/write head fails like that, no software on earth will get your files back. The drive has to be opened. In a cleanroom. By someone who knows what they're doing. We opened this one in our Madison, AL lab, replaced the head assembly with a matched donor, and imaged the platters sector by sector. That's head failure recovery. It's delicate, slow work. One wrong move and the data is gone. We do this for customers across Madison, Huntsville, and North Alabama. If your drive died suddenly and it has stuff you can't lose, don't plug it in again. Don't let a friend tinker with it. Bring it to ProTek. We'll tell you straight whether we can save it.

Hard Drive Platter Contamination Recovery in Madison AL
See that smudge? That's a fingerprint. On the platter. Someone opened this drive outside a cleanroom and touched the surface. You can't even see it without a green light. The oil from skin destroys the magnetic layer on contact. We see this more than you'd think. People watch a video online and pop the lid off. Please don't. We decontaminated these platters in our cleanroom in Madison, AL and recovered the data. It worked this time. It doesn't always. If your data matters, bring the drive to ProTek before anyone opens it. Not your buddy. Not a YouTube tutorial. Us. We handle platter contamination recovery for Madison, Huntsville, and North Alabama. And we'll never make it worse trying.

Clicking Hard Drive Data Recovery in Madison AL
Drive started clicking? Stop using it. Right now. That clicking sound is the read/write heads failing. Every second it spins, the heads can scrape the platters and destroy your data for good. This one came in clicking and wouldn't mount. We opened it in our cleanroom in Madison, AL, swapped the head stack with a matching donor, and got 90% of the files back. That's what clicking hard drive recovery takes. Special tools, a dust-free room, and knowing exactly which donor drive will work. Most shops can't do this. We do it every week. If you're in Madison or Huntsville and your drive is clicking, power it down and bring it in. Don't run software on it. Don't freeze it. Just bring it to us.
